Oh yeah, the first official year we're having a Christmas tree at home. Mum said we didn't have one all these years 'cuz I used to pluck out all the fake leaves from the tree. when I was younger. -.-

K I know it's damn random. HAHAHA bye.

And it's damn new and high-class can. About 8 basketball courts, running track, buildings where students have lessons, theatre, hostel, etc. The principal led us around to the counselling room, library and so on. So cool! And the younger students there were absolutely cute ok. CUTE TO THE MAX!!!! Didn't have lessons today cuz we were late. Had western lunch, and shopped 观前街 again, for the last time! :'( Bought more books, more titbits, more sweets and chewing gum (shhhhh). Awwwz WE MISS 观前街!!!!

Day 9 (19 November 2009)
Headed for Lecture hall in SHSSIP and had about 2 hours worth of 语文课 and 物理. 西双版纳 and literary appreciation... And guess what, the chapter Light, AGAIN. What the. -.- New buddy. D&T lesson, and we learnt to craft/make tree models. HAHAHA so damn cool can. But the process of shaving the rubber coating off the copper wires was cool but very tough. And we were free from school after that! Lunch, and off to Shanghai! 2 hours on the coach. Slept, talked, played, laughed. Headed for 南京路 first. Again, there was nothing much to buy, and we only had about 1 hour to roam the streets, including the toilet time. Didn't buy anything except a cup of 奶茶 which I shared with Hui Zhen. Went to 上海新天地. It was ok, quite dark, and took loads of photos, even with the local guard/policeman, whatchamacallit. Too bad we couldn't go to 上海滩 cuz the place was blocked off for the 2010 Shanghai Expo. Last dinner, and we took Group 2 photo! 全家福! :D

Couldn't get the informal shot though. Took videos on the spinning dining table, HAHAHAHAHA like so damn unglam. The night view was super super super mesmerizing. 夜上海, indeed. Checked-in to 上海宝隆美爵大酒店. THE PLACE IS LIKE DAMN FREAKING HIGH CLASS AND NICE AND GRAND AND EVERYTHING NICE YOU CAN THINK OF. Ok maybe it's of an effing high standard in China, but it's not gonna win Singapore's hotels. (Y) One thing about the toilet, the window's transparent, and without the drawn-down curtains, you'd be able to see a free show of your roommate bathing in the bathtub. -.- Camped. LAST NIGHT IN CHINA. :'(

Day 10 (20 November 2009)
Last day in China. :( First up, went to 上海科技馆. Science Centre in Shanghai. The place was full with kids. Kids, kids, kids, everywhere. Was quite pissed with them cuz there was absolutely no way there wouldn't be obstruction. Too bad I didn't have my camera with me. Quite cool. The artificial forest with the thunder, Physics stuff, earthquake and volcano eruption (but those damned !@#$%^&* people cut our queue and squeezed all the way in and even intentionally shoved Benedict aside), Biology corner... THE 3-D LAZER CRYSTAL PRINTING THING!!!! And I learnt that my reflexes are not bad. (Y) Very big and very cool. Ok, last lunch in China! :'( 磁浮列车 (Bullet train) to Shanghai Pudong International Airport. It took 7 minutes at a maximum speed of 431km/h. Flew back to Singapore, flight number SQ833. Stupid handset spoilt and there's no Interactive mode, so I got tired of watching movies, namely The Proposal and The Ugly Truth. YAY. Home sweet home.

*I totally forgot when and where and what time we went to the shop selling teapots and stuff.

Ok please don't bother reading that whole chunk up there, please. LOL it's too lengthy and it's for me to read when I'm bored. Mwahahahaha. Overall, the trip was fantastic. Wonderful, awesome, whatever adjectives you can find to describe it. Made new friends, new good friends, shared joy, learnt to live together as a group, and have fun! Intermediately, to learn about China's education system and the culture, history and advancements of China. The trip also increased my sense of belonging to Singapore, and more importantly, I've learnt to treasure everything I have that I had to live without in China, namely the water resource, cleanliness and convenience of having a family. :P I've also become very very interested in Chinese Literature. *shy. Lastly, we learn to be sensitive, like how we shouldn't use the words 'boomz the toilet', '炸厕所', 'bongggz', etc, in public places where people might get the wrong ideas of our pure and harmless intentions. New names: Billie Jean, Mina, KNN, Fatimah and our M'ams. HAHAHAHA! I really enjoyed being Mina. So gonna miss all the camping, chatting, laughing, teasing, emo-ing and sharing from the trip. Suzhou Twinning Programme 2009 FTW!
