Letting go, giving up, forgetting, forgiving, waiting and moving on -- the greatest feats in the world. It's easy to forge a pretence, but deep down inside it's really worth centuries of effort.

When things change, people change. Then people comment and wonder. Then you wander. Maybe somewhere something went wrong, but after all it's just a matter of easing yourself into a new state of mind, probably to learn to let go, give up, forget or forgive. And when you finally realise you're running away, something else comes into the equation. Complications arise, everything snowballs; the entrapment ever so unbearable. Moving forward becomes virtually impossible. Hatred, frustration, deep disappointment, nostalgia, sorrow, a melting pot of horrendous emotions.

I can always pretend, but the questions still linger. The missing piece of the story never to be filled, a permanent naught.

Emotional burdens are the hardest to rid, yet the easiest to be imposed. Sometimes I wish I could learn to be emotionally detached. Then things will always be the same.

Sometimes we only need one person, one thing, one event -- that's all it takes to open up the mind again for further pursuits.

Yet sometimes our paths never cross. Almost always will never cross.

The wait is eternal.
