So 1/6 of H6 has celebrated her 21st yayyyy.Loved how casual the party was, how there was nearly free flow of alcohol/food/games/music/pool/laughter/conversations/people, how I was able to disappear without being noticed at times, how I was made known to everyone as "doctor Janice" to distinguish between the many Janices, how I could just let myself rest and drift away light-headed even though my skin scorched and itched. Love the party situation, but I almost never have been able to find myself completely at ease and drunk at a party. Most of all, I enjoyed observing people from afar, looking at them having wild conversations, sharing deep secrets, doing things only drunk people do, soaking up the smell of cigarettes even though they turn me off a bit sometimes... It makes me feel like I'm not part of it. Something deep within me wants to try letting my hair loose once, but self-restraint always gets the better of me. I feel myself getting older, the social game going weaker. I don't feel obliged to fit into a place where I'll just linger and leave later on, but I want to get to know the wanderers alongside me. So I find a comfortable corner, shut myself down and just soak up the surrounding essence. It was nevertheless a fantastic party. I wished I could stay to play more pool and try the real beer pong (with great drinks) for the first time. Guess it's till the next time. ;) |
